Following requests from various constituents, there is now a calendar on the ASC site! Just click the tab on the bar up above, and you will be able to browse my Office Hours, RSO/Constituents’ events, as well as events happening in the community.

Melissa Yang is a California-born, Hmong American. As a first generation college student, she is a senior majoring in Communications and minoring in Diversity. Her vision for the ASC is to build a community which fosters appealing leadership opportunities for student growth and self-responsibility through social, community, and civic engagement. Previously, she studied abroad in Italy to research ethnography and the relationship between culture and communication. Mel also served as the Vice President of the Hmong Student Association and as a Team Leader for Jumpstart, an AmeriCorps program, teaching in South Seattle. In her spare time, she enjoys salsa dancing, volleyball and playing the guitar.
