Apply for the CAPAA ACLF Fellowship

The Washington State Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs (CAPAA) has an upcoming fellowship and event:

1. CAPAA ACLF Fellowship

Fellows will work on research, public policy, legislation, committee hearings, bill summaries and reports, organizing community events and assisting in constituent services and communications. Fellows will work closely with CAPAA and ACLF staff on these meaningful projects in Olympia Washington. The experience gained through the fellowship program can enhance a resume, offering an important career advantage. Fellows will also have the opportunity to shadow an Asian Pacific American Legislator. After completing the fellowship, if eligible, the Fellow will participate in ACLF’s Community Leaders Program, a six month leadership program from May – November that further develops leadership skills through community based curriculum, project team-building and networking. Students are encouraged to apply to the fellowship – UW alumni have been selected as fellows in the past.

2. Commission Board Meeting on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the International Family Center (Chinese Information and Service Center), 611 South Lane Street, 2nd Floor, Seattle, WA 98104. – http://www.capaa.wa.gov/documents/11.17.12DraftBoardMeetingAgenda.pdf
